2014 Blogging begins

As one of my New Year's resolutions I decided that I would join the blogging world to document the adventures of our little family.  I feel like time is is going one hundred miles a minute and my babies are becoming a toddler and an actual little "kid" quicker than I ever imagined.

Many of you reading know our family- but for those who may come here by chance, here is a brief intro about the Kelley family.  Waylon and I (Sandy) have been married for six years now.  We have a 3 1/2 year old boy, Noah, and an almost one year old, Caroline.  We also have two fur babies- a schnauzer named Carson and a shorkie named Max.  We like to have fun and be silly, can be kind of loud, are somewhat homebodies, spend lots of time with family, and strive to center our lives around Christ.

We had a wonderful 2013 with the birth of our sweet Caroline to start the year, and our big boy Noah starting preschool in the fall. I'll be briefly recapping some of our big events from 2013 (mainly for my own memory) but for now it's 2014 and I cannot even believe that last year went by as fast as it did. Our sweet girl is going to be one in a few weeks and Noah is starting his second semester at school.  When did all of this happen?!

Now maybe it's just me but with time passing faster and faster everyday it seems like my memory struggles to keep up with remembering all of the funny, sweet, cute (and sometimes not so cute) things that my babies do.  Milestones they reach, words/phrases they say, new little "adventures" that they begin in their own young lives...it really is hard to remember each and every little thing.  So this blog will serve as my memory book for us all.  I also hope that it will give our family and friends, near and far, a glimpse into what's going on in the Kelley house.

Basically this blog will be me documenting our lives, sharing my thoughts on life, marriage, and being a mommy, and maybe some occasional thoughts on what might be going on in celebrity pop culture (because let's be honest that is definitely my guilty pleasure).  Now I cannot promise that this will be an every other day thing but I will do my very best to update often.  I also have to say that yes, I am a former teacher, but my grammar, punctuation, etc still will not be perfect.

So WELCOME to my family, friends, and anyone else who might stumble upon my little blog and follow us on this journey called life.  I hope everyone enjoys this new hobby of mine and hey, maybe I'll even be able to pass along useful information to some.  :)

I'll leave you with a few short videos that I put together using the app Flipagram (really cool little app) showcasing our lives in 2013.
